Advancing with the vision of "Global University", Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) continues to add new ones to its national and international collaborations, scientific and academic innovations every day. Recently, with the participation of Malaysian Minister of Higher Education H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin and Malaysian Consul General in Istanbul Tengku Mohd Dzaraif Bin Raja Abdul Kadir; "Bilateral Cooperation Protocol Signing Ceremony" was held with the representatives of Malaysia's top 3 universities, University Malaya, University Sains Malaysia and University Teknologi Malaysia. The ceremony started with the opening speeches of Abdulkadir Gayretli, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IGU, and Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin, the Rector of IGU.
Protocol signed with 3 respected universities in Malaysia in QS ranking
"Bilateral Cooperation Protocol Signature Ceremony" was held between University Malaya, University Sains Malaysia and University Teknologi Malaysia and Istanbul Gelisim University, which are 3 reputable universities in Malaysia included in the list announced by the UK-based higher education rating agency QS (Quacquarelli Symond). In the "Global University Ranking: Europe 2024" published by QS, IGU, which is the best 432nd university in Europe, achieved a significant success by ranking 13th in Turkey. IGU, which is frequently mentioned on international platforms, added another one to its bilateral cooperation at the ceremony held with the participation of Malaysian Minister of Higher Education H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, Malaysian Consul General in Istanbul Tengku Mohd Dzaraif Bin Raja Abdul Kadir. Referring to the history of the establishment of IGU, Abdulkadir Gayretli, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IGU, talked about the achievements of the university; Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin, the Rector of IGU, stated that they were pleased to host Malaysia's Minister of Higher Education and respected universities at IGU.

Referring to the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation between Turkey and Malaysia, Malaysian Minister of Higher Education H.E. Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin said, "We are very pleased to be at Istanbul Gelisim University." The signing ceremony was held after the speeches of University Malaya official Prof. Dato Ir. Dr. Mohd Hamdi Abd Shukor, University of Sains Malaysia official, Prof. Dato’ Ir. Dr. Abdul Rahman Mohamed and University of Teknologi Malaysia official Prof. Dr. Shamsul Bin Sahibuddin. While the bilateral cooperation protocol with Malaysia makes an important contribution to the recognition of both our country and IGU, it is also of great importance for internationalization that 3 respected universities of Malaysia, the Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia and the Consul General of Malaysia in Istanbul prefer Istanbul Gelisim University among the universities in Turkey.
