Projects of RTS Students are at Student World Impact Film Festival!


The projects of Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Fine Arts Faculty (FAF), Radio, Television and Cinema Department students won the right to be screened at the Student World Impact Film Festival. There will be three separate student projects at the festival.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema's students' projects continue to achieve significant success at festivals. Three different projects from the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema are participating in the Student World Impact Film Festival, which took place in New York City, USA, with student films from 130 different countries. "Kimsin Sen?" (Who Are You?), directed and written by Mustafa Çağatay Türkmen, a third-year student of the department, "Geçmiş, Gelecek, Şimdi" (Past, Future, Now), directed and written by Ferit Doğan, a fourth-year student, and "Stendhal," co-directed and co-written by Ferit Doğan and Berk Köse, both fourth-year students, will meet the audience at the same festival.

The film "Stendhal" started its festival journey by receiving a special mention award at the Student World Impact Film Festival, and "Kimsin Sen," which previously obtained selections at Lift-off Filmmaker Sessions and Lift-Off Sessions - Pinewood Studios, continues its festival journey. Similarly, "Geçmiş, Gelecek, Şimdi" has met the audience at the Black Cat Award International Film Festival in Bolivia, the Kalakari Film Festival in Indonesia, and the Student Cuts Film Festival in Slovenia, and it has won the Best Short Film Award at the Bifocal Film Festival in the USA, continuing its successful journey.

A Collective Work is Conducted as a Department!

The students of the Department of Radio, Television, and Cinema are demonstrating a great example of teamwork by supporting each other in their projects. The projects, which are comprised mostly of department students, are collectively produced with the support of the faculty's equipment and distribution.
