Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Technology Transfer Office (TTO) stands out with many projects and collaborations in scientific and technological fields. The electric fan motor (EDF) driven fixed-wing UAV Jet Drone (ALAZ), which has vertical take-off and horizontal flight capability developed within IGU TTO, achieved a great success as the 1st in the Hangar Campus Innovation Program organized by the Turkish Aerospace Industry (TUSAŞ), in which 38 universities participated with 93 teams. Jet Drone was presented to investors at the Take Off Summit held in Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Exhibition Hall at the TUSAŞ booth.

The TUSAŞ booth, where the UAV Project Jet Drone ALAZ was located, was visited by important names. A short meeting was held with Mehmet Fatih Kacır, Minister of Industry and Technology, who attended the summit. Visiting the booth, Selçuk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of BAYKAR and the Board of Trustees of T3 Foundation, conveyed his views on Jet Drone ALAZ and expressed his satisfaction with the works.
Important names from the Defense Industry Presidency and thy General Directorate who visited the booth were also informed about the Jet Drone Project. During the meetings, opinions about the future projections of the project were discussed. It was evaluated by ASELSAN that the support that may be needed in the battery and avionics systems of the Jet Drone could be provided.
