Great interest for the International Tayf Short Film Festival in a short time


Applications for Tayf International Short Film Festival, organized by Istanbul Gelisim University, have come to an end. Attracting great interest in a short time, the festival received 3227 applications. At the festival, where films will be screened between 24-26 February 2022, the awards will meet with their owners on 27 February.


More than 3,000 applications from different countries came to the Tayf International Short Film Festival, organized by Istanbul Gelisim University Faculty of Fine Arts. Organized to encourage short film creators, the film festival draws attention both with its expert jury staff and international applications. At the festival, where screenings will be held between 24-26 February 2022, a total of 12 awards will be given to films that will be evaluated in the categories of fiction, documentary, experimental and animation, while a film determined by the jury will be awarded the "Digital Film Academy Special Award".

AWARDS WILL FIND THEIR OWNERS ON 27 FEBRUARY!

Tayf International Film Festival, which aims to encourage the shooting of short films, which are the building blocks of art, and to make short films more visible, received its deadlines on January 5, 2022. A total of 3227 films will be evaluated at the festival, which has attracted great interest in a short time. Young directors are expected to tell their stories in a limited amount of time in their short films. The festival requires a maximum of 20 minutes for documentaries and a maximum of 30 minutes for films.

Commenting on the festival, Prof. Dr. S. Güzin Ilıcak Aydınalp stated that many workshop trainings such as screenwriting workshop and acting workshop are within the scope of the festival. At the same time, Aydınalp emphasized that the main purpose of the festival is to contribute to the professional experience of young directors and students.
