Golden-worth inventions from IGU!


Within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2024, at the ISIF24 International Invention Fair organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, IGU's inventions were evaluated by the jury and awarded.


The awards were presented to the winners at a ceremony attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü, Turkish Patent President Prof. Zeki Durak and rectors of various universities. Following the ceremony, Deputy Minister Muhammet Kasım Gönüllü and Turkish Patent and Trademark Office President Prof. Zeki Durak were presented with plaques for their invitation and support.




IGU's inventions were evaluated in the gold and bronze categories
 
The AI-supported 3D Maps Creating and Analyzing Algorithm invention by Asst. Prof. Serkan Gönen, TTO Engineer Mustafa Sencer Kaçar, Muhammed Erdem Hatayoğlu, Ayberk Ermutuş and the Ecogrow AI-supported Irrigation and Fertilization Automation and Plantpulse Application invention by Lect. İzzet Yavuz, İrem Türkyılmaz and Kaan Irmak were included in the gold category.
 
The invention of the Electric Fan Motorized Vertical Landing and Takeoff Unmanned Aerial Vehicle by Prof. Osman Ergüven Vatandaş, TTO Director Yahya Kemal Kıran, Res. Asst. Hüseyin Furkan Çelik, the invention of Smart Glasses with Artificial Intelligence and Cyber ​​Security Features for Visually Impaired Individuals by Asst. Prof. Serkan Gönen, Asst. Prof. Kenan Şentürk, Res. Asst. Tunay Acıman and Furkan Onur, the invention of the Sensor Belt by Lect. Hasan Hüseyin Taşer, Lect. Sena Taş and Görkem Şahin, was in the bronze category.



Investors show great interest in IGU’s inventions
 
In the second session of Demo Day held on the same day, the invention called “Unmanned Aerial Vehicle with Electric Fan Engine Capable of Vertical Takeoff and Landing” was presented to technology enthusiasts and investors. Information about the project, which attracted great interest, continued to be provided at the IGU stand.



IGU TTO representatives also visited the Bahçeşehir Gökkuşağı College stand and congratulated the students who won first place in the Disaster Management Middle School Category of the Technology Competition for the Benefit of Humanity. IGU TTO representatives invited students Fahri Demir Şentürk, Yusuf Ömer Demir and Dora Doğan, who won first place under the supervision of Project Coordinator Yusuf Sezikli to present their “Five-Stage Solution Against Earthquakes” project.
