Father's Day at Darülaceze!


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF), Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department faculty members visited the fathers who were hosted at Darülaceze and celebrated Father's Day.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU), Faculty of Fine Arts (FAF) Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Radio Television and Cinema Department held the "Father's Day at Darülaceze" event on Friday, June 09. Lecturer Ebru Koç, a faculty member of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, prepared snacks in the "GMS216 Bakery Products and Chocolate Art" class together with the students in the C Block kitchen to be given to the guests staying at the Hospice. The prepared vegetable muffins and healthy cookies were packaged by the students. A visit was made to Darülaceze on Friday, June 09, with the prepared snack. Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu and Res. Asst. Ayşe Seray Çetin, academic staff of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department, attended the event, while Res. Asst. Eda Çekemci and Asst. Prof. Dr. Önder Paker from the Radio, Television and Cinema Department, who are the internal stakeholders of the department, participated in the event.

Faculty of Fine Arts faculty members went to the Rehabilitation Department, which they visited during the Mother's Day event, chatted with the fathers staying in the flat and celebrated their father's day. The instructors who participated in the event chatted with all the guests staying in the flat one by one, except for the fathers, while listening to their life stories. In addition to the guests who were met and chatted with during the previous visit, the lecturers also had the opportunity to meet new guests. Res. Asst. Emel Çirişoğlu left a beautiful memory by giving  the flower photos she took out at the request of a guest who she met during her mother's day visit and who likes to draw flowers. In addition, the instructors examined the oil paintings, handcrafted painting, knitting, wood prints and handicrafts made by the talented guests who stayed at the institution during the trip.
