"Clean Waste" event organized by the Radio, Television and Cinema Department


"Clean Waste" event was organized within the scope of the Student Social Responsibility Project conducted by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ozlem Tugce Keles in Radio, Television and Cinema at the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, and Res. Asst. Dr. Erdem Turkavci. In the event where the short film screening "Where Were We Throwing This?", which was filmed together with the students of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema, Esra Kara, President of the Clean Waste Association, gave information about clean waste and held an interview.


Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) has been granted a "Zero Waste Certificate" in recognition of its environmentally conscious and sustainable activities. These practices involve consideration for people, the environment, and the efficient use of natural resources. IGU organized a "Clean Waste" event, which is a Student Social Responsibility Project. IGU aims to benefit the environment and the economy by separating wastes and using natural resources efficiently by organizing waste paper, plastic, metal, glass, organic, and non-recyclable domestic waste bins into six sets.
 
In the event organized by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, it was aimed to inform students and academic/administrative staff about the correct use of boxes and to carry out an awareness-raising study on clean waste with the students of the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema through the short film "Where Were We Throwing This?" screening. While Esra Kara, President of the Clean Waste Association, made an interview by giving information about clean waste; Secretary General Dr. Serdar Egeli, Faculty's Dean Prof. Dr. Kenan Aydin, and Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nezire Gamze Ilicak and students from various departments from the faculty also participated.
