"2023-2024 Academic Year Student Orientation" was held


For students who are new to Istanbul Gelisim University, "2023-2024 Academic Year Student Orientation" and "Welcome Event" were organized. A comprehensive and informative program about faculties and colleges was delivered during the event.


Many departments at Istanbul Gelisim University, which stands out for its research on quality education and R&D activities, have obtained 100% student occupancy. In the YKS Placement Results, IGU, one of the top three universities in Turkey favoured by international students, ranked third with the most students. Students who learned about their faculties as part of the "2023-2024 Academic Year Student Orientation" and "Welcome Event" for new students had a good experience meeting academicians and making new acquaintances.

They had an efficient orientation program

While each faculty and college had separate sessions in the orientation program held in the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Conference Hall at the Tower Campus, the students had an efficient orientation program with comprehensive information provided by the deans and principals about their departments. Prof. Dr. Bahri Sahin, the Rector of IGU, met with the students in the orientation program of the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences and talked about the advantages of being a member of IGU and the achievements of the university.

The students met with the department heads and received information about the subjects they were interested in during the last part of the orientation, with the cocktail organized in front of the conference room; they had the opportunity to get to know the social aspect and club opportunities of the university by visiting the stands and activities of clubs such as ANKA, Aviation, YONTEK, IEEE, Theater, Travel, and Camp, which participated in the orientation activities.
